NHS Digital have once again been in touch as a follow-up to their previous email:
We wrote to you in November regarding code inclusions in QOF, unfortunately there was a slight error in the information we sent back.
Whereas 'chronic alcoholic brain syndrome’; and ‘post-concussion syndrome’ have been taken out of QOF, post traumatic brain syndrome is a synonym for ‘Post-traumatic dementia’ and is rightly in the cluster and will be remaining in the cluster. This code is very rarely used so is unlikely to be a concern for your practice, however if you do have patients coded as such, they will be in the dementia cluster and will be ‘flagged’ for reviews etc.
