Restoring General Practice

The backlog for practice’s due to COVID-19 is enormous for many, it’s hard to know just where to start. Insight have created a list of searches (Emis Web & SystmOne) to help practice’s prioritise their workload and identify high priority patients for review. These searches include:

  • Cervical screening - identifying patient’s who have missed and non-responders
  • Asthma/COPD - patient’s with no reviews in the last 36 months+, 24-35 months & 12-23 months
  • Diabetes - no HbA1c in the last 36 months+, 24-35 months & 12-23 months
  • CKD - no eGFR in the last 36 months+, 24-35 months & 12-23 months
  • Hypothyroidism - no TFT/LSH in the last 36 months+, 24-35 months & 12-23 months
  • BP monitoring - Patients with HTN, DM, STIA or CHD with No BP recorded last 36 months+, -35 months & 12-23 months
  • NDH, Pre-Diabetes, IGT or GDM - no HbA1c in the last 36 months+, 24-35 months & 12-23 months (this is a new QOF disease area for 2021/22 worth 18 points)
  • Obesity - Patients whose latest BMI calculated, in the last 5 years was, 30+ but been recalculated in the last 12m
  • Lithium (last 3 months) - no Serum Lithium test in the last 36 months+, 24-35 months & 12-23 months
  • DOAC (last 3 months) - no U&E’s & Creatinine Clearance tested in the last 36 months+, 24-35 months & 12-23 months
  • ACE/ARB (last 3 months) - no U&E’s tested in the last 36 months+, 24-35 months & 12-23 months
  • Combined Oral Contraceptive (last 12 months) - no BP in the last 36 months+, 24-35 months & 12-23 months

This is a remote dial-in service, we will install and run the searches and feedback the results to the practice using a summary page to help practices identify high priority patients.
