Residential Institutes

Tuesday 1st Sep 2020

Within the registration screen, you can record a residential institute code against a patient who lives in a care or nursing home. In the past, payments have been linked where a residential code has been recorded (PCSE).

Using residential institute codes enables you to quickly and easily identify all patients living in a specific care or nursing home rather than searching on the patients address (which often includes other patients not living in the care home but in a house on the same street).

With the new enhanced health in care homes (Network Contract DES) it is essential practices are able to identify patients.

For all Insight Members, new searches available this month include identifying patients in a nursing home with no RI code recorded.
