Data validation & cleansing -
	Using either your clinical system reporting tool or CHART searches, we help you validate your existing data for the entire patient record. This can be delivered via an advanced searches training session or by purchasing our Data Quality & Validation Manual. This service is not only essential for QoF but also for the IM&T DES in order for the practice to receive accreditation. Remember, as part of the Data Protection Act 1988, you are bound to ensure that all data held on your patient records is accurate, relevant & informative.
Development of Data Entry Tools -
	Consistent data entry is key to data extraction - rubbish in equals rubbish out! A data entry tool is the best way to enter consistent, standardised data. Even though these are generally supplied by your clinical system supplier, they can sometimes need editing to include additional questions, ensuring that you are capturing as much information about the patient whilst they are in the surgery. Insight can provide on-site training on building or editing data entry tools or off-site services building new data entry templates based on a supplied data-set.
Effective use of QoF management software -
	Population Manager, Contract+, Clinical Audit, Apollo SQL, MSDi Clinical Manager - are all tools to assist you with QoF achievement. Are you using yours to its maximum efficiency? Does your software enable you to manage and plan your workload throughout the year? Do you know how to identify negatives in order to prioritise? Not all QoF software is as intuitive as it could be, therefore, you may need to run some audits using your clinical system reporting tool. Insight can help and guide you to ensure that you are using all the tools you have got to maximum efficiency to increase your income.
IT Development - Assessment of business processes -
	A practice based session aimed at assessing your current work practices with a view to streamlining them throughout every department/role within the practice. Following a full IT review, we will review various aspects; data entry, consistent use of Read Codes, development of Read Code and drug formularies and data extraction to name but a few. Suggestions will then be made to help your practice become more efficient and make best use of limited staff levels.
